cook,
Well I don't think you'll feel quite so lonely on this remote & far away site of which most hotcopperites know nothing, since someone suggested that one of the canniest investors on MEO look into ZGM.
Unfortunatley most people put Zambia into the same category
as S Africa, Tanzania, Congo,Sudan etc. Of course , under Kenneth Kaunda , the well meaning but hopeless socialist president for decades, the situation was dire. I knew people who lost their homes & had to escape to England
with almost nothing in their pockets. But the situation today has completely changed for the better. White
African farmers fleeing from Zimbabwe & South Africa are actually welcomed in a free market Zambia. I have a German friend who has been living in Zambia for many years now &
loves it there- has married & built house & farm.A very safe environment unlike some other neighbours nearby.
I don't know anything about this stock, ZGM, at all but will follow it out of interest.
Robin Brumby's article in the Australian today on African miners'potential also caught my attention as being spot on when it comes to the potential of African mining companies. In my case I bought some Red Back Mining( Ghana,Mauretania) shares many years ago & they have been a spectacular success unlike kmost junior Oz,Canadian or US gold explorers. If the management is sound & the resource promising I would have no worries about sovereign risk.
