Why do you think tesla is not building any LFP giga factories? why is tesla only buying them from third parties?
Do you think it might have something to do with the fact once they get the 4680 up to spec the cost per kwh drops to $50- $70 making them on par or cheaper then a lot of LFP batteries on the market today? Do you think tesla will keep using LFP once its built out its 4680 supply chain?
You have also not mentioned anything about sodium batteries? What happens to LFP if car makers start to have the option to use sodium in their low end vehicles?
LFP will never reach the same energy density as nickel batteries and there's a reason why all the top western battery scientists are primarily focused on high nickel batteries (Tesla, Jeff Dahn, etc) and China is pivoting towards Sodium since that is what China does best cheap mass produced low end products.
