You are simplifying the use of batteries. LFP are brilliant for grid storage, the weight/size is offset by the life of the batteries. CATL's LFP battery lasted for 16-20 years without suffering any significand battery loss. NMC are not able to coupe with the demands of grid storage.
Plus you have to be kidding about the cost. As more batteries are made the price for NMC will increase, LFP are cheap and there is very few restrictions on access to commodities.
To address todays announcement. I really wonder what this board thinks at time, you only need to look at ADD who has our old Tanzania Nickel projects, its MC is only $8-9mil and they are in the middle of a CR. This would have to be the worst time possible to look at spinning out our Nickel projects.
