UNLIKELY that Hythane can be utilized in the proposed LNG stations up the east coast of Australia. From what I have seen the proposal is to use Liquid Natural Gas (LNG), which requires very high pressures and/or very low temperatures, with re-gasification equipment on board the trucks. Hythane is designed to complement CNG (compressed natural gas, and CNG is everywhere in India. I was there last month, well at least New Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, and Mumbai anyway) in short run local destinations, biggest advantages of Hythane are in reducing local pollution and as a bridging fuel to hydrogen economy. Theoretically we should also be concerned about reducing pollution back o' bourke, but with such a low population density out there it doesn't make commercial sense, and how is the hydrogen going to be stored on board the truck if the natural gas is on board as a liquid??
