I have to disagre, The natural resources of this country belong to no one but the people! We cannot as a country afford to give away "our" wealth! There are many countries around the world where wealth, from natural resources are distributed to only the few. These are called "third world nations"

If we dont reinvest into infrastructure and other sectors of the economy, ie Manufacturing, medical research, technological development, we will be a weaker nation both financialy and socially. mining booms come and go we need to stop relliance on primary industry, I believe Australia can be more than just a hole in the ground!
