    sniper,
    I have not really had the time to sit down and crunch all the numbers... but, it is of my understanding that the super tax does not apply to CUE's current productions as they are situated in New Zealand-> Maari
    Indonesia-> Oyong gas/oil
    and PNG-> SE Gobe oil...

    It was my understanding that super tax only applies to Australian based assets...???

    now if Artemis/Caterina hit then there are further tax implications... If we come up trumps drilling, then we have a one dollar share...
    I will then throw this question back to you...

    Would you still care about tax?

    Im sure you would be more concerned about your tax on trading profits... bonanza...

    US CUE holders would be toasting and flipping out so much so that it does't matter...

    and just remember...
    we get to One dollar in the future either way, explor success or not...

    super tax applies to Cash Maple...

    If the costs of running an oil business are too high then you shouldnt be in this business...
    CUE have and will have a nice tidy buffer if either oil prices fall, or what not, to be able to underpin positive cashflows...
    Its cashflows and relatively low cost profile means that it has an advantage over its ASX junior oiler peers...

    Have you seen how much OEL are spending on this quarters Seismic's...?
