just a hobby....

when I first looked at CXY a while back, I thought 'well this looks like a good thing' but I now realise that CXY is just a hobby project - ditto for all UCG wannabe's.... the likes of CXY, LNC and the rest of them are attempting to produce inferior 'natural gas' via a process which has been barely tested - I'm discounting the Russian experience because you wouldn't trust their data further than you could throw a board of directors...... the reason I'm thinking along these lines is that up there on the North West Shelf, Australia has cubic miles of natural gas which 'only' needs tapping into and piped ashore - in fact we just sell it off to the Japanese and Chinese - we don't use it ourselves for any major power infrastructure, not power generation, nor transport, we simply don't want the stuff, we're not interested in the value of our own clean green vast natural gas deposits except to sell it off to foreigners.......


so my question is, supposing the likes of CXY, LNC, etc do manage to produce reliable volumes of inferior 'syngas', who's going to want it? we already have unlimited supplies of the real superior thing which we just give away..... see my point?....


no, for me, 'syngas' is just a hobby pursuit - ask punters in ten years about UCG and the rest, and they won't even know what you're talking about.....
