In discussions last week in WA when Rudd met with Andrew Forrest and others, Twiggy said that if this RSPT tax had been in place, FMG would not have gone ahead (and Rudd agreed with him) How wrong is that. What a travesty that would have been if that project had not been accomplished. An Aust company, run by an Aust that could not make good because of this tax. What use would the tax then be if there are no resources being mined to tax. There would be no jobs and no royalties for WA. Sounds a lose / lose scenario to me.
