Treed - RFX haven’t set/executed a good major strategy in 15years! Many many failures to list tho (China, Mexico, Thailand, Residential, Mobile towers etc etc etc). They’re now attempting grid scale. Gelion’s insight into what’s needed for success in mobile towers, data centres etc is something that could have prevented some misadventures for RFX. Note, if RFX had taken the approach John is using with Acciona … RFX may have not been quite so embarrassed by the Canberra Battery Test Centre results for their ZBM2s.
Time will tell whether RFX can pull LDES grid scale off - but as I’ve pointed out there are many large competitors that are well ahead of them and have fundamental advantages over RFX.
Time will also tell whether Gelion can develop a high discharge ZnBr battery without the need for maintenance cycles thats cost competitive with PbC (if they do they’ll have an instant maintenance replacement market). And, time will tell if LiSiS battery issues are solved.
John has bought two parcels already so backing success … Tim tho?
