I take back what I said - though I retain risk etc might be valid reason for the ETF selling, I just read some of the prospectus and they said it's a passively managed fund that doesn't sell underperforming stocks.

But in this particular circumstance you could assume macro conditions are playing a part. Could be the fund owners decided they want some more liquidity on hand. But I agree with you both now that it doesn't look as peachy as before.
