If couple's stayed together we wouldn't have this so-called ' housing-shortage'..
Get together, buy a house, break-up, pay your partner out so they can go buy their own house.
Its only minor but i think its a tiny contribution to the problem.
Also,
If i was buying an investment property(which i wouldn't in this sellers market) i wouldn't go anywhere near the outer suburbs/rural of Melbourne(as an example).
The outer suburbs of this city are like an after-thought, the roads are crap, the public transport's crap, there's only little amounts of industry and jobs and its basicaslly cheap housing in paddocks.
Stick to the inner suburbs and cities for investing. There's a reason why its expensive, because its so damn better than the alternatives.
