Do you think its safe to assume that the future landscape of PTX will reflect Kerry Stevenson's sumation that our CEO is a "trustworthy custodian of the PTX treasury"? Based on the scenarios of two different approaches to getting a potential drug through to commercialisation as illustrated by Hottod and Dalts on ther other thread, plus the cost per patient that SYC mentioned in that interview with KS, I believe that the most prudent approach that SYC is likely to take is to find a partner.

Licensing out the development and commercialisation of PTX100 to a third party as Neuren has done (if its possible) makes a lot of sense. It mitigates risk and saves a huge amount of money in the interim ($300,000 per patient in a trial of 100 equates to $30 mil). Sure it restricts the share of revenue IF it gets to market. We are currently looking at spending an additional $2.1 m in recruiting 7 more patients to the current trial. That we have plenty of funds to cover, but we have our OmniCAR trials to commence this year. I think we will have enough on our plate too, Unique. Whether PTX100 and/or 200 will be attractive under a farm-out arrangement, one can only guess.

I believe PTX owns PTX100 outright but that maybe more milestone "payments" by way of shares could be owing to the original owner of the drug, namely Pathway Oncology Pty Ltd. Its likely that advancing PTX100 to a Phase 2 / registrational trial will have a milestone payment attached. I can't say for sure based on some superficial fossicking.
