In poker you can win when you bluff with a losing hand, and you get kudos for it. One thing is for sure, in Oklahoma where there is a fairly tight knit group of players, you can't bluff and win in the oil and gas game, especially if you want to keep playing. The usual result is a win win for both players, where the seller gets a bit less than he wants ( in terms of sale, JV or farm in) and the buyer pays a bit more than they want. That way you get a chance to play again.

BRK are almost certainly playing poker with others in Oklahoma right now. The game is just taking longer than the crowd expected, some mixed signals are being displayed which is causing the crowd to loose faith in their player. But their man is not bluffing, has a winning hand and is trying to maximise the winnings.
