Absolutely there are windows and processes that need to be followed for Non Exec Directors and Employees alike. But when was the last time any of these groups put their hands up? There is no track-record of supporting the SP by these groups. I think at this stage it would be a huge vote of confidence if some of the "new" regime backed the company with their own-hard earned.
LTR is a classic example of the confidence this adds to a business. They had a cost blowout in their Capex, SP reflected the same. Directors purchased on market and showed faith. SP bounced back.
It shouldn't be up to various Twitterati and other Social media personalities to fly the flag here.
