In pegmatites, 99 times out of 100, purple will mean lepidolite although not all lepidolite is purple. The 1 out of 100 times will be where you could get purple-coloured spodumene, referred to as kunzite in the gem community, but I wouldn't expect to see this outside of Brazil or the Afghanistan region. Disagree, fact is the photo I posted shows that lepidolite is present in the system. If its a significant part of the quoted Li results reported, then these theoretically need to be adjusted to account for the lepidolite. That they continuously refer to "spodumene observed" doesn't mean there isn't also lepidolite associated with these intersections. Until detailed mineralogy is provided one can't simply assume that its not an issue.
