Do yourself a favor, Don't take my word, LOOK at the Bible Hub Interlinear, I go through I think Microsoft and generally Bible hub comes up first.
Type in John 1 Interlinear and click the Greek word numbers for Their definitions and Use the first word, or the next IF it says the same, but gives a better flow.
DO NOT mess with the Greeks order of words, as that will give a false context as many Bibles do, John 17:5 is a classic example and it places Jesus literally with the Father back in time = False message.
"I had" = NO -> zero Greek word available to ADD "I". Had should be more like Held as in insofar held BY God, the Glory God Himself Held for and about the future Son before the world existed, with You = Father.
Very sad that we can't just rely on every word in our current Bibles
