    Hi Minter

If you go to the 2 websites-PRR and DNDN and check out CVac and Provenge you can read what makes them simiar and how they differ. I think you need to do your own research or ask the experts on this to gain the full story of how they are similar or different.

I'm no expect on the two technologies but as I understand it, they are similar in that they both involve extracting immune cells from the patient and eventually re-injecting the patient with a new antigen- complex form to fight the cancers-ovarian or prostate.

Again as I understand it,in the case of CVac the immune cells are first multipied into millions before the antigen complex is added to the immune cells while in Provenge the mutiplication stage is not done. Here with Provenge a different antigen complex is added to only the original immune cells) -hence this takes only a few days from beginning to end while CVac takes a couple of weeks since the cells need time to mutiply.

Both products involve what is called ex-vivo immunotherapy so as far as I'm concerned they have a lot more in commomn than they have diffrences, hence I disagree with David Miler's assessment that there is a "significant difference between this technology and Dendreon's"..

    cheers
