Hotdog - don´t you know - Australia is going to save the world from our 1.3% of global C02 emissions. Clearly the plan to get us to net zero is to create a expensive unreliable electricity grid and overall energy system so we will not use power, a dysfunctional energy infrastructure will also translate to less jobs as companies go out of business so less companies using power and less demand for energy from unemployed people. The Greens and Labor seem to want to reduce/stop our coal and gas exports to further impoverish the country, more people out of jobs so less call on electricty and fuel as it becomes more unaffordable.

Never fear - China is still increasing their coal production as are other countries and building new coal fired power stations with coal supplied by others to produce whatever items as a Country we can still afford to buy. Most of us will not be able to afford the EVs - so less power and ICEś no longer available or fuel too expensive so we can get back to bike rising (presumably horses will be banned as they also pass wind).

Next stop we can get rid of those nasty cows, pigs and sheep passing wind and stop fertilising our agricultural land - that will help us in our aim to save the world from our 1.3% - we can import our food from other countries (the production and transport C02 goes on their national average not ours thank goodness ) while we can still afford to pay for imports - as a nation of vegetarians we can set up vege patches in our back yards (apartment dwellers can use pots) and significantly reduce our food production and transportation C02 output.

The insanity of what our political leaders are doing is mindboggling - ok if the world wants to reduce C02 - great a cleaner environment is beneficial for everyone - but lets do it when the practical efficient and affordable technology is there, it seems the West is heading down the net zero path where the rest of the world are sitting back doing little or nothing and benefiting from the West trying to get to Net Zero..
