The delays have purely been on the Chinese side and it sounds as though the delays have been across the board and not specific to Synlait. And be realistic. Even with A2's and Synlait's Chinese connections etc. the Chinese authorities are still going to put their own domestic producers and larger multi-nationals ahead in the queue. Nothing A2 or Synlait says or does could change that. They are still in the privileged position of being a still relatively small player (in terms of market share) who will actually receive approval, whereas many smaller players will be cut out of the market this time.

Start what? Their own SAMR application? As I said, MVM needs to be upgraded first and that's what their doing.

That was pretty much true for Peter Nathan who bore a lot of responsibility for A2's English label debacles. Pretty much all the key management personnel have changed since then. I recall Bortolussi's base remuneration, when compared to the median ASX200 CEO salary, is pretty reasonable. Much of his package is made up of time based and performance rights where he needs to oversee increases in the SP and hit performance targets to make the real $$$.
