Impact should b minimal on Karoon. As per their Feb presentation, slide #12, clearly shows that once production begins in the Browse Basin in 2016, Resource Tax will b paid frm 2023 to WA DMP.
However, they will have to pay 1.5% royalty to the tenement holder 'Liberty' based in Phoenix, AZ, for the first 5 years & 2% per annum thereafter. Company tax of 30% is compulsory is standard & applies to all.
As for Sth America, the relevant royalties (apprx 10% each) will b paid to the ANP in Brzl & PeruPetro (chk BPZ's financial statements for the official figure of oil sales frm their nearby Albacora offshore field).
