cmc markets - disgraceful customer service, page-3

Here's another one.
a while ago i was notified by CMC markets that a certain stock will not be tradeable in the future and I had to liquidate all my positions by a ceratin date. They stated that as of immediately you were not able to open any long positions in the stock but only sell down. OK. So the date approached to sell down and I bought up the order ticket and it seemed you could still buy. So , I tried to open a long postion with 1 share and the system allowed me. I rang a trader and and asked what was going on. The response was unbelieveable. He told me to hold the line while he spoke to someone. When he came back on he treated me like a complete criminal. He virtually accused me of trying to do something dodgy and from now on I was not able to sell down my positions on line but I had to contact them by telephone to do the trades. I asked him why and his response was "that's it's people like me" etc I said why is it my fault when all you had to do was adjust the system so no one could go long. In the end he said we had nothing more to talk about and we hung up.I explained why would I bother for 1 share. I've never been treated so disgracefully by any firm. No need to tell you I rang IG straight away and fired up the old account.
