The FTO inhibition mechanism is known. The drug physically enters into and blocks the FTO's catalistic opening. This was discovered by COH.
The cardioprotection mechanism isn't fully known yet.
DT has hinted that Newcastle University has found part of the explanation. Boffin and University of North Carolina are working on the remaining part.
