One issue thats being forgotten here is that ALS Burnie does all the daily assays for all the west coast mines (except perhaps Savage River) in addition to exploration. Just "slipping in" 20/30 samples and completing in a " couple of days" is not going to happen as all the other mines have their own priority samples sitting there waiting to be done. As the only facility in Tas doing geochem I'm surprised someone else hasn't started a lab there in the meantime. Plenty of work coming in every day.

Its not out of the question (in fact I know of one example) where a Tasmania mine set core to the mainland to be assayed as the delays in tassie were so bad. This was 2021 but now with the gold price the way it is I'd expect the lead times to have stayed the same and not improved no matter how well ALS is staffed.
