Pretty easy to go back into the ASX announcements posted on the Sayona site to see the details of the deal, but yeah, pretty freaking amazing what they were able to pull off. The other amazing achievement was this was a true david vs goliath moment. Sayouan MC was less than 20 million at the time and they were proposing to buy NAL for 100m, it seemed a fantasy for them to be able to pull it off and yet here we are now in production.

The carbonate plant is in great shape, yes it needs some upgrades to bring it to spec with more modern tech, but the guts were there and had produced Carbonate in the past. I did some checking a while back and figured all in the Carbonate plant could be completed for around $300m, (maybe with inflation now it would be slightly higher) of that PLL would owe 25% and Sayona would owe 75%, so compared to the $850m, it is relatively cheap and would be able to pump out 25,000 to 30,000 tpa.
