"I would call an offer of $7.50 at least an insult but would feel more like attempted rape. How often in an investors life time does one get the chance to be riding a winner like pls, Think Big .. it is incumbent upon us all not to dismount before the weight is right, we can do much better than $7.50"

I don't expect BHP would get PLS for $7.50 but such an offer is considerably higher than the $5.66 you quote as our highest ever share price. That is not an insult, and it is an offer that a lot of people would consider in relation to their buy in price and what it would do for their overall lifestyle (guaranteed!!).
As I said, BHP is a company that can make a "reasonable chance" takeover bid, but BHP is also going to try getting us (if they do try) as low as they can. $7.50 could be seen as a starting point to negotiate from.

What I would do has not yet been determined. It looks like I will get a yearly dividend well over $100,000 as things stand now, and I expect there are a lot here that will be getting more than me. One of the considerations is that, even with the 50% reduction in capital gains tax for shares over a year old, there is considerable loss in selling and spreading the risk. However, there is also risk in carrying a big basket full of eggs. Time will tell.
