Grants are only available when they think it's the money stopping the development like a demo plant for example (that would otherwise not happen) and is also conditional. There is no free lunch.

Govt Loans on the other hand are based on the bond market so about 3.5% at the moment, so if you do the numbers ASN would save around 7 million per year if they get the govt loans versus just going to the market today.

The question I ask is it worth the effort and delays when its only about 5% of our projected NPAT from stage 1 anyway. This is likely why it was never considered in previous announcements, is ASN going to delay for 6 months -1 year because we want to save 7 million trying get lower interest rates???
