Good question, thommoz My understanding is the company can't sit on an announcement-in order to achieve some strategic objective,say.But has to release it to the market as soon as its received.That leaves the Lab as the source of the delay, not the company.
Nevertheless,it doesn't stop the company finding out the reason for the delay and passing it on to shareholders.
