I'm not so sure about that. maybe if the company fell over.
if you brought a business ie a trucking company, you are buying it with existing contracts in place so figure these contracts would be honoured and valid. just cause the ownership changes doesn't mean they are automatically null & void.
same deal if you brought say a commercial property, lease doesn't fall over due to a change of ownership.
happy to be told / proven otherwise as just my experience and thoughts
