The blog poster forgot to mention that Ukraine has never existed as a nation until 1991 and did not get a constitution until 1996. Before the USSR took custody , Ukraine was nothing more that an ever changing territory that petitioned support from greater powers. Kiev was actually the capital of Russia at one point known as Kievan Rus until the Mongols invaded and destroyed the city in 1240. The Russians relocated their capital to Moscow. To describe it as persecution misrepresents the fact that a nation didnt even exist, and in that context, on is always at the call of other powers.
