Yes, people are living longer and longer, and their mentality and thinking formed well into the past; And they cannot seem to change. Its also a factor of the increasing speed of technological change. So, climate shocks will sort out old world thinking. Tornadoes, the like of which has never been seen. Fires, floods, melting Greenland permafrost, methane, feedback loops.
Hence the need to end fossil fuels burning as soon as practicable.
People worry about the cost of 'new equipment' and the price of a new car (EV). I say to them what IS THE COST OF DOING NOTHING? What was the cost of the first Holden in real terms compared to a BYD ?
Electrify transportation with green generated power is a no brainer. Shipping and aircraft too.
