HIO is special as it is just 60 km from a mining town Broken Hill. It is a MASSIVE advantage compared to some other iron ore deposits which are big and high grade but too remote to operationalize examples are MGT and IRD. The fact is HIO is the only mining project ever in Australia that got major status from three governments.
