suni , may I suggest you look at how long term contracts are put together regarding pricing. Today’s lithium pricing has nothing to do with signing a contract for 20 years ( or whatever it becomes) of supply.Almost all modern mineral supply contracts ( offtakes ) are based on a floating pricing mechanism, whereby the pricing is based largely on the prevailing average spot prices .
That said, I do think Bruce would want to wait, at the very least until Western Strategy jorc is confirmed, and I am going to assume so would any interested offtake partner , so that a larger, more secure supply agreement can be entered into .
I think it makes sense , why rush today to sign 10k when within a month or so , can sign 25k ?? - and I suppose that depends on the amount of upfront payment from offtake partner , whereby if they are putting up the upfront coin , I doubt they would be too happy for another Party to come in and secure 10/15k tonnes without putting any coin in upfront. I know if it was my money bringing the project to fruition, I’d want the majority of output / offtake ( it gives you a potentially competitive edge over your competitors)
