Bush wanted an immediate extradition of bin Laden after 9/11. Taliban wanted a prof that bin Laden was involved. USA invaded the country to get bin Laden.. That is exactly how ww1 started.

You might think that there was a different reason for invading that country. Proximity to Iran, maybe. After all, the mightiest military in the world, should not have had a problem locating 1 person and taking him out, if that was what they wanted. Staying in the country for more than 10 years after getting the man they invaded the country for, is just a bit odd.
