There is such a bias here that management are incompetent. No recognition that this mine is 680 km up a river that requires 3 barge size changes to navigate the mighty Barito River. Or 98 km road trip and 2 barge sizes to navigate the 550 km of river.

So these people are very nimble in problem solving but too enthusiastic in forward projections.
I have met all the people involved and I can assure you that Karan is not relaxing in Jakarta eating nasi goering and wondering when a barge may appear on the horizon.
Eddie Chin is a foundation member of the Indonesian modern coal mining industry. His power and influence are great. I first met him 2006. Karan and Eddie will be out kicking down doors of barge owners to assist SGE and to secure long term barge security.
