    careful what you wish for Privateer82,

    you do realise that the nastiest week of the downturn in US markets occurred whilst the SEC had implemented halts on short selling of financial stocks in '08 - the DOW ranged 2,500 points in that week alone.....

    killing liquidity is not neccessarily a good thing...
