in fairness he could hardly prevent non-cabinet members to vote according to conscience as it would be voted on anyway by those in favour.

so essentially, imo, he's assured the passing of the Voice bills.

he's used a tank gun to shoot himself and the party in the foot and has blown off both legs as a consequence.

my guess is there'll be a spill around 12 months before the next election - the killing season will strike again against the Libs.
