Thanks for your comments deliriou5. Yeah the whipsaws have taken me out, but the tight SL has also saved me from much bigger losses on a few occasions.

I think the system is not bad, except for when the consolidation phases occur, as you stated. When that happens you just keep on getting taken out by the stop loss.

Once you see your account going the wrong way a few times it's very easy to start losing confidence in yourself...
