AFR: Carmakers buy into lithium miners in drive to survive
- Volkswagen set up a separate business called PowerCo to run battery factories and to buy stakes in lithium miners.
- Pilbara Minerals boss Dale Henderson says a diverse group of players are trying to shore up supply.
- The Federal government says lithium exports from Australia are set to reach $19 billion in 2022-23, up nearly fourfold from the previous year.
