This announcement is vague on the status of the grant but is written as if ECT was a possible contender for it.

The fund announcement comes from the 7th of March and below is what was reported in the Financial Review;

"The $2.35 billion injection will be made in increments as the Japanese companies behind the plan – Kawasaki, JPower and Sumitomo to name a few – pass milestones on their plan to rely on carbon capture and storage (CCS) to make clean hydrogen from the low-grade coal at AGL Energy’s Loy Yang mine."

'HESC" is the consortium these companies make up that is getting the funding.

Basically HESC has already produced and shipped hydrogen to Japan.
