Brine has it's place and is quick to make lithium carbonate but requires another process to get it to Lithium Hydroxide.
Spodumene is converted straight to Hydroxide so is cheaper per kilo cost wise. IMHO.
Joe Lowry said that aussie spodumene is the bees knees for the battery makers.
