So I have been making some phone calls and doing some further research to dissect the met test results.

As has already been mentioned. The way OD6 used Hydrochloric Acid instead of Sulphuric Acid is not the way to go about it. That is the first red flag.

Hydrochloric acid is more corrosive and is more expensive. You do not start at the most potent mixture and work back from that. It goes the other way. You start with a weaker mixture and increase the level of acidity. Hydrochloric acid requires the CAPEX to be more expensive because of how corrosive it is and the OPEX is increased because the acid is more expensive because it comes from overseas.

HCI comes from China, H2SO4 is a by-product produces in large quantities in WA. All this talk about not being involved with China and the acid cannot be sourced locally sounds counter productive to me.. BH has not taken the best steps to see if OD6 is economic. He has chosen the path to create the most misleading data to keep the holders happy happy and will work back from that.

Moving on to the 6 hours leach time .. Well that is not the economic starting point. You would start with 1 hour, 2 etc moving up to find what you need. 6 hours is a bloody long time.

When you look at the table supplied with the met testing you can see with a 3 hour leach the average recovery sits between 22% at the bottom, with 67% at the top. Average recovery sits at around 39.1% - USING HC1!!!!! - Those figures are going to drop again when using H2SO4 ... The preferred acid of choice by everyone else. Go figure.

That is the reality folks for anyone out there who is seeking a fair and balanced opinion and does not want to have Argyle show garbage down your throat or the other mob pump crew.

Best advice is DYOR everyone. The pump crew and the loser crew from the other mob with 8B SOI have a lot to say. Unfortunately not much of it is correct IMO.
