On the point about how does a group of small shareholders wield the power to tumble a CEO, I'd love to participate in the process, but I imagine it would be very tricky unless there were a number of outspoken strategic holders and discontent among some directors.
Unfortunately, without any inside knowledge, I don't know how we could gauge the feelings.
As long as lot's of posters keep up the battle on forums like HotCopper, we can keep fanning the fire - maybe we will get a pleasant surprise at the AGM with a big vote of no confidence, but even then, it would require a number of people to get behind the concept.
At the moment, it appears we are paying almost $1m per year for mediocrity (just for the CEO).
