    Hi @Gossy29 and @theoc - and @Wasabibarako

    Thanks!

I need to correct myself. I referred to the CF33 used in this study as Vaccinia. However it was actually the CHECKvacc version - CF33 armed with an antiPDL1.

And for sure, friend theoc, early detection is of huge importance and makes a big difference in outcomes. By the time a person has metastatic peritoneal cancers they are way down the track and seriously unwell. If Checkvacc can really make a difference to someone who is already so sick, it will be miraculous. I haven't looked at AI for early detection though. Sounds fascinating!

Gossy - I am also still in the "if it works in humans" camp. The initial animal study results are astonishing. This latest set of mouse model results for metastatic peritoneal cancer are also startlingly good. If CF33 fullyreplicate these results in humans then yes - we would pretty much have what @theoc calls a "ubiquitous treatment solution." (Nice term, theoc!)

Yuman has been quoted as saying in Melbourne that what we saw in animals we are now seeing in people. I personally heard him say in Sydney that: "at still a very low dose, okay - 10 to the 7th - 10 million particles, where the last generation viruses would have done nothing,we are already seeing unequivocal evidence that we are killing cancer in humans...by itself, without a second agent. We're verifying that they're present, with biopsies...". I have the recording.

So I'm now confident that CF33 does "work" in humans at least to a degree. Like yourselves, and like everyone else here except the trolls (though I'm sure they are also watching with great but undisclosed interest), my hope is that the response in humans is at least substantially as good as it is in mice.

The sceptical part of me says that a perfect reproduction of the effect seen in mice is just too good to be true. Human beings are, after all, orders of magnitude larger and more complex than mice. But even if it is half as effective in humans - that would still be a massive success.

We just cannot know until the official results come in, so we are reduced to speculation and interpretations of the body language of Yuman and LC.

For what it may be worth - they both looked and sounded exceedingly happy and excited when I had the pleasure of meeting them in Sydney.

But yeah - I'm not celebrating until I see the numbers, and also the reaction to those numbers by people who have a real expertise in this stuff.

Were are still only in Phase 1 for CF33 - both Checkvacc and Vaccinia - but it sounds a though collation of preliminary data is in progress.

Analysis and peer review for publication can take time though, so I'm trying to stay relaxed about it all. Here in paradise the sun is shining and there is a good breeze up - so I think it's time to go sailing on the mighty Clarence.

Hoping everyone has a fabulous day!

    Cheers

    Dave
