Yes I hope you understand that I was not dismissing what you say, but we seem too far apart in our respective interpretation to really engage on the subject.

It's difficult to engage with anybody who has committed themselves to any one specific religious school of thought. Christians tend to be Christian-centirc. Muslims are Muslim-centric, etc, and as such looking at religion as a holistic process taking place for all peoples at all times all across the planet just does fly.

Add to that the fact that I believe that religions are bound by the same reality that governs science and of course we then have no real common ground to debate from.

Did Jesus resurrect, I say He did. The fact that Christianity today is the most populous religion is proof of that. But if Jesus resurrected physically, yet His Teaching died with Him then there would be no Christian religion today. However if Jesus rose from death spiritually and His Teachings which where the real essence of Jesus also rose with Him then Christianity would be thriving as we see it is. So clearly His Words resurrecting were so much more important than His body resurrecting. His body offers no lasting meaning. His Words have transformed the world. To me then the meaning could not be more clear. The resurrection of Jesus was in the form of His Teachings and Words.

So to me the resurrection of Jesus, the reality of Jesus that came back to life after three days was His Words. It was His Words that transcended death, not His body and any confusion in scripture in this regard is because people struggle to understand that the Bible is a spiritual work and has used common language to express spiritual concepts. Jesus resurrection is a spiritual event.
