You raise a valid point. However, if the KRudd Government doesn't receive any revenue for the tax because we are in a downturn (again), then how is his latest budget funded?
The POINT is we need to reduce costs not compensate for excess expenditure.
I don't think the punters will be too harsh on any politician who "actually" lies, we are used to that, but this is Australia! Don't touch Beer, smokes, tax or miners or you will face a brick wall!!
