After 10 months after the initial brickworks announcement, management have been able to sign an MOU with sketches and a successful discussion on acceptable feedstock (brickworks have to sort their own sources). This must've been one hell of a long discussion.
8 months later, still absolutely no progress on financial viability of the brickworks plants. This is a low bar to clear, however I think management are unable to give a solid acceptable quote due to a number of reasons (e.g. feedstocks).

Over this time, they've been forced to partner (which you denied being required), they've lost money on projects, they've dismantled their entire energy division and are burning through cash with nothing to show of it. Management have missed most of their timelines or their announcements kick the can down the road for 6 months while pocketing very decent salaries.
