No, most analysts already put a 50% "risk" weighting to the gas asset. The asset was never valued as much as NWE holders wanted to believe because of this.
Todays announcement while not positive already had some of it anticipated in the valuation. Turns out "Experts' have some experience with this stuff and not the NWE retail punters posting photos of the dunny.
Daily fluctuations in Iron Ore and Lithium markets far outweigh the $1.2 bil NPV the gas asset was valued at.
