From what I have previously read, Optus Fibre Optic can be used for the NBN purpose.
And of course Optus would be paid for the infrastructure.
As Optus is already on board with the NBN, I would imagine that it would not be to hard for a deal to be done.
I am not sure on how extensive the Optus Fibre Optic is in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
If anyone knows if this is the case or not, it would be interesting to know if the Optus Fibre Optic could give the NBN a quick coverage to some of the Capital Cities if Telstra are not on board.
