Interesting question. Hillgrove will produce copper in 2024 unless copper price really crashes. I firmly believe that once they start the ore zones will be drilled from underground and the mine life will ultimately be 10 years plus. The Caraval deposits are incredibly low grade and require a big leap of faith that they can profitably mine what would be the lowest grade copper mine in the country. I don't know of any other copper mines that have commenced on 0.25% copper, they might end up on low grades after years mining much better grades and having paid for the mine establishment on these higher grades. Not a gamble I will bet on but it is perhaps a pointer to the future when 1% copper is nowhere to be found. Hillgrove is far more likely to be a copper producer. DYOR Not investment advice.
