The leak according to those with a more intimate knowledge of how the top secret documents are distributed and this is coming from an ex-CIA officer is that it was leaked by a senior official in Washington. The theory of optimal leakage timetable suggest the idea was to extract more $ from the Biden Admin instead of the classic espionage route otherwise why would it be a leak and not on sold to the Russians?

If someone stole highly classified documents from the government (not unlike Trump) for money they need to be found and punished. All free countries should be supporting Ukraine with the weapons they need to win and not just words of moral support.
